I’ve always enjoyed writing fiction; in fact, I started writing my first novel in elementary school. We had a small section of the school library populated with Apple IIe computers. Whenever we had computer lab time, I would write as much as I could. I didn’t have any way to save my work, though, so at the end of the lab time it got erased and I started over next time. After a few sessions of this, I asked the librarian if there was a possibility I could print out my work each time, so I could truly progress with the story. She very graciously gave me a 5.5” floppy disk, and my writing career was born.
These days, around home maintenance, my family, and my day job, I try to write when I can. My dream is to build my writing to the point that I can make it my day job, and have a lot more time to focus on my stories.
